CoverXSpecialty, a member of the Crum & Forster Enterprise specializing in coverage for business with unique risks, has announced three key appointments to its leadership team.
• Sam Anderson has been named senior vice president of the newly developed niche marketing business segment. Anderson most recently served as president of marketing for Colony Specialty after serving in leadership roles at GenStar and Argonaut Specialty. He will oversee the security, binding, life sciences, oil and gas, and small-business units for CoverXSpecialty.
• Mark St. Aoro has been named vice president in a newly created role heading the analytics group at CoverXSpecialty, where he will have oversight of R&D, modeling, audits and forms. He previously worked at Torus Insurance Co. and has extensive experience in product development initiatives, technical pricing, coverage analysis and strategic planning.
Both individuals will report to Tom Bredahl, chief underwriting officer for First Mercury, which writes policies produced by CoverXSpecialty.
• Steve Dresner has been appointed vice president and primary group manager. Dresner comes to CoverXSpecialty from the Global Insurance Distribution team at Endurance Specialty Holdings. Previously, he worked for both Hartford and GenRe Corp. He will report to Mike Kwan, senior vice president of the primary department.
