Carriers and MGUs like QBE NA, Nationwide and Coterie Insurance aren’t going it alone as they carry out their missions to transform commercial insurance underwriting.
Coterie Insurance and Nationwide have tapped data generators like Planck and NeuralMetrics to crawl the Web and gather data seemingly out of “thin air,” using AI to interpret and turn data to into risk insights and class codes. And QBE NA is set to move from proof-of-concept to implementation of Federato’s RiskOps platform, enabling its underwriters to view guidelines, risk model outputs and portfolio views of businesses into which they seek to place individual accounts—using just one computer, at the time they’re evaluating an individual account.
