A global pandemic was certainly not in my 90-day plan when I assumed this role in February, but it’s shaping how my leadership team and I are leading today and will lead in the future.
From the start of this situation, a clear advantage for us was that we did not sit in one big office to begin with. When you work for a global operation, like AXA XL, with global teams scattered around the world, working remotely is nothing new. We do it every day from offices around the world. When our colleagues began to work remotely, they were already accustomed to video conferencing and online collaboration. We were still able to drive the business and to drive strategy.
