Greenberg’s View: Opening Global Markets, Shaping Foreign Relations

March 28, 2013 by Andrew Simpson

During his 60-year career, Maurice “Hank” Greenberg helped build American International Group (AIG) into the world’s largest insurer by opening global markets and getting services industries recognized in trade agreements for the first time.

Greenberg, now chairman and CEO of Starr Companies, discusses some of his foreign adventures and his views on global trade in an excerpt from a wide-ranging interview with Wells Media Group’s Andy Simpson. Greenberg recently published a book, The AIG Story, in which he details some of the major events in AIG’s history and his own career. [ijtv id=”9294″ width=”340″ float=”right”]
