AXIS Re made two new underwriting hires to expand its North America Casualty team. Lockton Re hired a Senior Broker to be part of its Marine & Energy Division. Earnix, a provider of advanced rating, pricing and product personalization products and services for insurers and banks, is expanding its Boston office with two new executive hires.

AXIS Re, the reinsurance business segment of AXIS Capital Holdings Limited hired Lydia LaSalata and Matthew Trinkle for its North American Casualty team.

LaSalata joins AXIS Re as a Senior Underwriter for Professional Liability, and Trinkle recently joined as an Underwriter for Casualty & Alternative Risk.

The insurer said that both hires will help with the company’s ongoing adaptation of its North America Casualty business to changing market conditions.

LaSalata joins AXIS from Safety National Re where she was Vice President within the Financial Lines Treaty team. Trinkle joined AXIS from Transatlantic Re where he was an Assistant Vice President.

AXIS Capital is a Bermuda-based global provider of specialty lines insurance and treaty reinsurance.

Lockton Re is bringing on Andy Massingham as a Senior Broker, who will be based in the company’s London office as part of its Marine & Energy division.

Massingham is joining the company from Guy Carpenter, where he was most recently a Managing Director. Previous to that he was a Partner at JLT Re, where he started his career.

Martin Stephenson, Chairman, Marine & Energy Division, Lockton Re, said the hire will help grow its client base and allow them “to reap the benefits of a new reinsurance perspective.”

Massingham will join Lockton Re in March 2021.

Earnix, a provider of advanced rating, pricing and product personalization products and services for insurers and banks, is hiring two new executives as part of the expansion of its Boston office.

Danny Weber is the new Head of Business Development and David Howland has been named the company’s Chief Marketing Officer.

Weber will spearhead Earnix’s strategic new business initiatives to support the company’s growth objectives. Before joining Earnix, he served as CEO and Co-Founder of KYC Station, an innovative advanced customer identity verification platform for financial services.

As CMO, Howland will help extend brand awareness for Earnix and scale up its marketing efforts. Before joining Earnix, Howland served as CMO for both Questback and Longview Solutions after a successful tenure leading the global brand and digital marketing for Nasdaq.

Earnix launched in 2001 and has offices in the Americas, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Israel.
