Insurance Journal and Demotech Inc. announced that the inaugural Super Regional P/C Insurer Conference will be held July 16-18, 2017 at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa in Lake Geneva, Wis.

The theme of the event is “Finding Your True North,” a concept essential for accurate navigation. Carrier executives who understand their firm’s “True North” are able to follow the right path to success.

Attendees will interact with respected industry leaders and gain insights about navigating the changes related to InsurTech, big data, people management, reinsurance, mergers, insurance linked securities, global warming and other topics.

“We’re creating a terrific agenda with great speakers,” said Mark Wells, chairman and CEO of Wells Media Group, Insurance Journal‘s parent organization. “We are able to bring a tremendous amount of insight to this conference because we track the topic trends in real time on all of our publishing brands, including Insurance Journal, Carrier Management and Claims Journal. I encourage carriers of all sizes to participate in this conference.”

Speaker submissions will be accepted until Dec. 14, 2016. To be considered, please use the submission form at: https://insurancejournal.wufoo.com/forms/call-for-speakers/.

Insurance Journal‘s 10-year research partnership with actuarial consulting firm Demotech led to the development in 2007 of the original criteria and objective definition for Super Regional P/C Insurers, the target audience for the conference. Prior to the establishment of an industrywide definition, a number of property/casualty insurers had referred to themselves as Super Regionals. Each year, Demotech analyzes year-end data for property/casualty insurance companies submitted to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners to create the official list, which is published in Insurance Journal.

“The challenges faced by the leadership of insurance carriers and reinsurers are unique,” said Demotech President Joseph Petrelli. “The topics, speakers, panels and networking opportunities at this event are designed to give every attendee actionable takeaways to make their businesses stronger.”

The Grand Geneva Resort & Spa was originally the famed Lake Geneva Playboy Club Hotel. It’s home to one of the best golf courses in the Midwest and is accessible from both Chicago and Milwaukee.
